FOOD!
Every month a very, very large family in our ward gets together to celebrate all of the
birthdays that fall during that month.
We've been so fortunate to be invited to these gatherings.
It's always a HUGE group; kids, grand kids, greats, neighbors, friends, missionaries and
friends visiting.
One thing there never seems to be a shortage of is food.
One huge long table holds all of the main dishes and another holds all of the
desserts and another table outside of the fale on the grass for the pupus.
I love the way that this whole thing comes together every
month. The variety of food is awesome and it never
seems to run out!
The birthday people are sung to, there's a blessing on the food (many times a grandson who is a returned missionary will give the blessing in another language). Ending with one of my favorite hymns,
"Love At Home".
This hymn really does sum it all up.
Mahalo Moody Ohana for including us.
