in Hawaii May Day is Lei Day.
A celebration of the making and wearing lei
and a celebration of Hawaiian heritage.
The biggest gathering is at Kapiolani Park with
a May Day court, hula, displays of the lei that have
been entered in the contest.
May Day is also the time that schools present May Day
performances. Waialua's is next week and I can't wait.
May Day perfect time to wear a lei, and give a lei.
