Our good friends, Jamie & Claudia Parker and their kids have been home
for a visit. Since we were on the mainland our first chance to
see them was right before they had to leave.
We always love seeing them and visiting with all their friends/family.
We learned all about fruit fly brains and how they're used in research...yes
it really was so interesting!
James spent some time trying to explain his iTouch to
Uncle Terry (no luck)
there was some really, really ono food
that was enjoyed by everyone!
and of course there was hula!
These two were actually my hula sisters on the mainland.
Kenzie is still dancing and will be in E Hula Mau, while Erin is
spending the summer here doing an internship with Outrigger Hotels during
her break from Cal Poly.
We met the Parkers so many years ago when the kids were very, very small.
They were having breakfast at Dukes and we started talking, come to find out
they were from Mission Viejo...
The girls had wanted to take hula somewhere & I recommended Lani Ola.
Jamie plays beautiful guitar/ukulele and he played at Geoff & Bri's wedding.
They came every year to our "Waikiki Reunion Party" and played/danced.
Now I watch over their place out here at Mokuleia.
We're so lucky we started talking over breakfast!
