to Haleiwa Town.
Some of our favorite places are going to be torn down to make
way for redevelopement .
This will include a huge parking lot and new stores.
We're afraid by removing places like Aoki's, Haleiwa will loose
it's charm and small town feel.
It really is a small town, without the infrastructure to support too
much more growth.
It's bad now with all the tour buses bringing in loads of
foot-traffic....we don't have sidewalks!
We have friends who have businesses that can use the money, but
they aren't happy with all these changes.
I've been sick with a cold, so my blogging has suffered.
Feeling much better.

Jane, where did you get the picture of the proposed plan? I googled it but couldn't find anything and I wanted to see finer print :)
