Quite by accident yesterday I found this little treasure in Wahiawa, right off of busy Kam Hiway. It's a freshwater lake that actually has fish in it. The best part though were the full grown trees and plants. Even in the hottest part of the day, there was a lot of cool shade and it was so quiet. Which was a surprise, since it was so close to the highway and the end of the H2.

I read a article about the little lake a long time ago. Used to be a special place. I guess now its been very poluted and said to now (as in didn't used to) have a parranna(sp?) type fish in there. Maybe that was a rummor but I know that they were trying to restore the area and clean out the water ways from all the rubish that has been built up there. I've always been interested in the lake, but never actually went to look at it. I'm curious now!
