Better Safe Than Sorry...

One thing that we learned living here is that it's "Better Safe Than Sorry". They take these weather things very seriously here. So do we. We have the emergency kit inside with fresh batteries, propane, candles, gas in the cars, phones charged, water, ran to Costco, etc.

It looks like Felicia has been downgraded, but it's still better to be safe than sorry.

HI! Just happened upon your site from Ashleigh's blog. I recently moved to Oahu and was suprised to find someone else with the same 'issue' at hand. Hope you didn't get any flooding last night. We live on the leeward side and although it poured and poured, I haven't heard of any damage.
The North Shore is my sanity of this island. I love this place, but when I moved here last winter I came from the country and the suburb living seems to get to me at times. So to the North Shore I go whenever possible!
So neat you get to live there! Take care, and I'm sure the sun will come out again. :)
