Don't see this very often

Not often you see a travel trailer in Hawaii.  Most camping is
done in tents.
So I was really surprised to see this at Kaiaka Beach Park the other day.

4th @ Turtle Bay

Yesterday we went to Turtle Bay Resort again for the 4th of July celebration.
We took Charlotte with us this year.  It had been a beautiful day here on the North Shore.
When we got to Turtle Bay, found a parking spot (they direct you), got our chairs and walked a
short distance to the grass and that was it.  Hubby and I decided this year to stop @ Stortos and
get a sandwich on our way up, but Charlotte got a yummy looking gyro.
We ran into a lot of friends/neighbors.
It's a fun place because you sit right on the "golf course grass", they have a ton of
food booths and even bounce houses for the kids.
It was funny, Charlotte and I were talking, hubby had gone to the restroom,
and all of a sudden I heard counting  and the lights dimmed and the first
firework was set off...so not ready to take any cool pictures, so I just snapped
a couple and that was it.

Nainoa's Grad Party

A few months ago when I went to WES graduation, my friend Coco had told me to
keep last night open for Nainoa's grad party.
It was a great party!  They held it at the church gym and spent so much
time on decorating and food.  Nainoa's dad is a chef at Mariposa @ Neiman Marcus...
so there were some dishes that were to die for!  Chicken Katsu w/sweet chili aioli...YUM
Since Coco is a musician, there was a lot of music and hula.

Congratulations Nainoa!

Beach BBQ

Last night a group of neighbors got together for a bbq down at Mokuleia.
A ton of food, burgers, hot dogs, shrimp and ribs.  The kids said the water was
great. Liam and Jodi brought down their floating platform, so the big and little kids could play.
Ed did all the cooking (thanks, Ed).
I didn't get to stay for the som' mores, since I had to go to the airport to p/u hubby.
It was the perfect evening, food, friends and fun.

(Thanks Molly for the great sunset photo)

New at the MH

Traci just got new living room furniture, so...we got her
old sofa and chair.
It's nice to have something in the family room, doesn't echo anymore.

Good thing our kids are so willing to give us their "cast-offs"!

HOME...

it may be smaller (much) than the MH, not without problems,
so different from SC, but it's home.
So thankful that I get to see this view everyday.  Green hills, warm
water and tradewinds.

Glad to be home.
