WES 2012 Graduation

Yesterday was graduation for another class of 6th graders from Waialua Elementary.

We had a lot of these kids and it's nice to see them so grown up.  Three kids

that we know from church were among the graduates.

Yesterday was Volunteer Appreciation Day at Waialua Elementary School.

The kids made me a poster and gave me lei.

This is Mrs. Luarca's last year, as she'll be retiring next week after 30+ years (most spent

right here in Waialua).  

I love this small country school that is doing such wonderful things!

Just Finished...

and it's really good.

I've read her blog for years and still remember the accident.

I knew the story, but in this book she goes

into more details about her feelings .

Just really good.

A New Take...

on walking the dog.

I saw this guy the other day riding his bike on the bike trail.

His dog was perched on his shoulder, the dog

just sitting there enjoying his easy ride.

Never have seen that before,

nothing surprises me anymore.
I'm still laughing when I see this.

A Walk Around The Yard...

We've had the most beautiful weather.

Not too hot yet (that will change I'm afraid this weekend= no trades :( )

The rains have stopped so that

means things are really starting t grow.  All the plumeria trees now

have flowers and the big heleconia are blooming.

I love when the yard starts to bloom!

This House...

We've driven by this house a 100 times.  it's over in Laie. Beautiful grounds, huge yard,

looks like a family compound...

this is the house where the scene in "The Descendants" that

the cousins are all meeting about the Kauai property was filmed.

Only took watching the movie about 5 times to realize that's where it was.

Angels...

Jack is playing "coach-pitched" little league this year and loves it.

He told me he doesn't like the practices, but LOVES the games!

He was so excited because he got a game ball at the last game for being the

MVP of that game.
