A Letter and a Local Breakfast

One of the mornings that Grey was here, he and mommy wrote a letter to Santa
that contained his Christmas Wish List.
I gave him an envelope and off we went to the
Haleiwa Post Office.
I explained to him that we had to give it to the man that worked there
and he would send it to Santa.

After we dropped off the letter,
I took Grey to Mc Donald's for a local breakfast.

He loves the Portuguese sausage that come with
eggs and rice.
Like a true "local kine kid" he had fruit punch because they
didn't have lemonade.

House Building

I thought it would be fun to do some Christmas craft stuff
with Greyson while he was here.
I got a Gingerbread House kit and he was so excited to make it.
Finally it was the day!  He was so excited!  Bri explained to him how to do it.

 Lots of concentration ...
 trying a little frosting...
 The finished masterpiece!
After a little problem with the roof sliding down
due to the humidity...
I was looking at it last night and noticed that there are some places
missing some pieces of candy.  Must have been some pesky elves.

Team Dinner

Last night we had a dinner for the Analog/Gravis team.  Geoff has asked us every year to do this and it turns out
to be a lot of fun.
This year we had some of the neighbors over (ended up being 20+)  so there was tons of yummy food (GREAT carrott cake Jason!).
This was also Bri, Greyson and Emme's last night with us.

it was a great time to just get together.

Glad it didn't rain on us, just good fun.

Saturday morning on Kaamooloa Road...

This morning I walked outside and this is what I saw...Geoff, Bri, Ed and Laura and all sorts of kids
just hanging out on a beautiful Saturday morning
on Kaamooloa Road.
It must have been a chilly 72 degrees!

Greyson loves being outside with all of the kids.
The big girls a so great with all of the little kids.
Grey fit right in, just playing

And while all the fun was outside, Miss Emme was sound asleep
inside with Grammy and Poppa.
Winter in Hawaii, gotta love it!

MH water damage~ before and after...

This is the master bath where the toilet ran for 2+ days.  That's my wallpaper that Terry & Traci put up for me.  New bath and vanity! Wood floor in there.

The water came about 1/2 way across the family room. We had the built-in desk removed.  This is the new floor that we had put all the way into the kitchen, laundry room and guest bath.  I just got this rug when I was there.  Note: furniture
that our kids "handed down" to us.

new light fixture in master bath.  All walls are now drywalled.  We had the shower stall coated in white from the old harvest gold!
This is where part of the wall got drenched in small bedroom, across from leak.  New carpeting and drywall in there.  New baseboards and ceiling moldings are so pretty.

Just another view of the master bath.  We had a built in vanity and linen closet removed for updated look.
all of the flooring was removed along with old insulation and wall paneling.  They drywalled over and put in better insulation in the floors and walls.  The carpet in the two bedrooms is pretty light.  Note: white furniture is the nursery furniture from Traci's house.  They actually repainted in the color we choose, it's like what we have on our walls at home.

It was a very, very long process thanks to our insurance company!  We finally got the last checks from them last week.
But we're so please with how the MH turned out.  Just having the walls drywalled is huge.  It was worth the $$ that
we had to pay to have the wood floor extended.  We'll see how it is with the new insulation.   If it
keeps it warmer when it's so cold.

Girl's Night~

A couple weeks ago, I took two friends into Waikiki to hear another friend
play music at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
quite the crowd for Wednesday night, the weather was so nice.
Mai and her sister Oni, got a chance to walk around the grounds at the Royal
before the show started.
 Mai, Coco, Oni
I just LOVE it when I can take local friends someplace they've
never been before...Kaka'ako Kitchen in Ward Center.
A couple of us hard the Sweet Chili Chicken...so ono!

This was such a fun night!  Oni and Mai hadn't
been to Waikiki for years and years and NEVER to
walk around, listen to music or just hang out.
Oni was ready to go back the next night!
